Coaches Corner

Contact Tim Lystila for information on coaching requirements.

All Coaches, new and returning, need to fill out a Coaching Application (can be downloaded from the Forms/Documents page).  Submit the coaching application to an Iron Range Hockey board member.

THERE WILL BE NO COACHING WAIVERS ALLOWED FOR ANY COACH.

The new USAH CEP is upon us.  Only one level can be taken a year and age appropriate modules must be taken prior to going on the ice.  If you coach at more than one level, you have to take age appropriate modules at each level.  See the USA Hockey website for more information.  You can check your particular level and it will tell you what you need to do.

Learn to Skate and ADM Mite Coaches –  Minimum coaching requirements is all of the following:

  • Approval from IRHA Board of Directors
  • USAH Registration
  • Background check – every 2 years
  • Age appropriate module (8U)
  • Coaches with the minimum requirement are not allowed on the bench during games but can coach at practices.
  • Complete USA Hockey SafeSport Training
